Child Protection and Anti-Bullying Policy

SAFIRE Matriculation Higher Secondary School is committed to a safe and respectful campus for every child. This policy explains the school-level safeguards, reporting routes, and behaviour expectations followed for students from LKG to Class XII.
The aim of this page is to help parents understand how the school approaches child protection in daily campus life. Safety is treated as a shared responsibility between school leadership, teachers, non-teaching staff, parents, and students. The school encourages early reporting of concerns so that issues can be reviewed before they affect a child's wellbeing, confidence, attendance, or classroom participation.

Visitors are expected to report at the school entrance and follow office instructions before entering student areas. School staff are expected to remain alert to signs of distress, unsafe behaviour, bullying, exclusion, or repeated conflict. Concerns may be escalated to the class teacher, section coordinator, principal office, or management office depending on the nature of the issue.
Anti-Bullying Commitment
- Bullying, harassment, and intimidation are not permitted.
- Parents and students can report concerns to the school through phone/email or in person.
- Reported concerns are reviewed by school leadership and handled through parent communication.
Bullying may include repeated verbal teasing, intimidation, deliberate exclusion, physical aggression, online harassment, or actions that make a student feel unsafe or humiliated. Students are encouraged to speak to a trusted teacher or parent if they experience or witness such behaviour. Parents are encouraged to contact the school with clear details such as student name, class, date, location, and a short description of the concern.
Review and Response
When a concern is reported, the school reviews the matter with relevant staff and communicates with parents where required. The response may include counselling, parent meetings, student guidance, supervision changes, or disciplinary action in line with school rules. The school handles child-related concerns with privacy and sensitivity and avoids public discussion of individual student matters.
Parent Guidance
Parents can support this policy by encouraging children to speak up early, saving any relevant message evidence where online behaviour is involved, and avoiding direct confrontation with other students. The school office remains the preferred route for reporting and resolution because it allows the concern to be recorded, reviewed, and followed up responsibly.
Student Awareness
Students are guided to treat classmates with respect, use polite language, avoid unsafe physical behaviour, and ask for help when they feel uncomfortable. Age-appropriate reminders may be given during class interactions, assemblies, counselling conversations, or parent meetings. The school also encourages students to report unsafe behaviour without fear of embarrassment. Early reporting helps teachers understand the situation and support the student before the concern becomes more serious.
