Grievance Redressal Process

Last updated on August 2, 2026

This process supports parent and student concerns related to academics, safety, behaviour, transport, and communication. SAFIRE Matriculation Higher Secondary School encourages families to raise concerns through the school office so that each issue can be recorded, reviewed, and followed up in a responsible manner.

The grievance process is designed to avoid confusion and ensure the right staff member is involved at the right stage. Some concerns can be resolved quickly by the class teacher, while others may require review by the principal office or management office. Parents are encouraged to share clear facts rather than relying on informal messages or incomplete information.

How to Raise a Grievance

  1. Submit concern through phone, email, or in-person at the school office
  2. Provide student name, class, issue summary, and preferred callback contact
  3. Receive acknowledgement from school office

Resolution Timeline

Timelines may vary based on school working days, availability of staff involved, and the seriousness of the concern. Issues involving student safety, repeated bullying, health, or transport risk should be reported as early as possible so that the school can prioritise the review.

Escalation

If a parent is not satisfied with the first response, the concern may be escalated with reference to the original complaint details. The school may request a parent meeting, student discussion, teacher feedback, transport review, or written record depending on the nature of the issue.

Information to Include

Confidentiality

Student-related concerns are handled with discretion. The school avoids public discussion of individual grievances and focuses on practical resolution, parent communication, and student wellbeing.

Examples of Concerns Covered

Parents may use this process for academic support questions, repeated homework concerns, classroom communication gaps, bullying reports, transport timing issues, safety observations, fee-office communication, or document-related delays. General enquiries may still be handled directly by the office, but matters requiring review should be recorded through the grievance process.

Parent Follow-Up

After submitting a concern, parents should keep the acknowledgement, note the date of communication, and allow the school reasonable time to review the matter. If the issue continues, the parent can refer to the earlier complaint details while requesting escalation. This keeps the discussion factual and helps the school identify what action has already been taken.

For urgent safety or health concerns, parents should call the school office directly instead of waiting for a written response. Clear and timely communication helps the school protect students and resolve issues with less delay.
